Better Late Than Never!

Here is our Haddie yes Haddie we came up with a name! I always thought it was so dumb to say that " I have to see the baby before I can name it" well here I am saying when I saw her I was like it's Haddie. Here she is all of 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long, born September 25 at 6:53 am. Sorry nurses right at shift change. Sweet little Haddie was so excited to come into this world seeing that she
was 2 weeks and 2 days early. After laboring for about 6 hours on half an epidural meaning it only worked half the time, and 3 pushes Haddie was here. I guess I could say that I'd been having contractions for about a week but we'll just count the time that I was in the hospital.
She is so fun and Teagan is such a cute "big Ister now". When Teagan first saw her she said " Hi Haddie I Teagan, your big Ister" It was too precious.
2 weeks old what to do? Oh yes get some pictures taken!

I love my sisters more than the world and I'm so so so happy that Teagan and Haddie will have each other for ever and ever.

What's in a name?

EVERYTHING and that's why we are not going to ever come up with one. This topic is such an issue that it got me out of my blogging slump. That means it's a big deal. So basically I have names that I like and Devin has names that he likes and there isn't much common ground.

I just want there to be that ONE magical name that I say and Devin looks at me with a huge smile on his face maybe a little tear in his eye and nod yes, YES that's it. You did it you said the winning name that will perfectly pair with our sweet little girl. I bring up that I want to mention it only because the tiny bit of common ground is me saying I think I like that name. Meaning the name Devin throws out, because he likes none of my names, and it kind of bugs... I'm hormonal and not sleeping well I have the right to be bugged? Yes!

Is that name out there I don't know so I guess stay tuned to see what happens with this name debacle.

So help me my Baby Girl Chipman #2. To solemnly swear that you will have a name by the time we leave the hospital. You will not be baby girl on your birth certificate.

Just an update

Life has been so busy and here I am gestating without telling my blog the gender of our baby. Baby number two is another GIRL! So I just had to post pictures of her silly older sister because I'm so curious/excited to see what another devily girl will look like.

Here's Teagan big blue eyes, blonde hair, underbite, itsy bitsy, and of course full of life and vigor. Will all our kids kind of resemble our little Teags?

From the time we were engaged we were constantly told that we look like brother and sister. So does that equate the same child mold? I guess we will see around October 11
Truthfully I don't think we look anything alike I mean just look at my nose it's clearly smaller than Devin's.

Veni, vidi, vici

Here is our trip!

Prague

This is the first c0 co type clock. The King that commissioned it cut the clock makers eyes out after he was finished so that he couldn't make another one. Crazy hun...

This is the outside of a cathedral inside the prague castle. Gothic style cathedrals are my favorite. I will enjoy them even in the pouring rain which is what the weather was in Prague.
Here's Devin jumping on the St. Charles Bridge. Every time we walked across it, the rain would start. So we just needed to quit walking across.
A few other highlights from Prague. Going to a Salvador Dali exhibit, seeing an amazing chamber concert featuring the fine local composers, Mozart, Devotchka, Strauss I was in heaven.

LINZ

It was kind of a bust but we had an awesome hotel and by the time we got there we were so tired that we didn't care to spend a day sleeping!

This is inside a Cathedral in Linz
Devin trying to escape the castle that was more a museum than castle but the remaining walls were cool.
This art exhibit was in the ARS electronica center. A cool mix of art and electronics. This is their interpretations of Avatar.
Salzburg

Here is the view of the castle and town from the famous Mirabell Gardens you might know it from the do re mi song in the Sound of Music.

The view of the castle as we hiked to it.
Inside a cathedral that had the most beautiful frescos. The ceiling looked so celestial. I guess that's the point right?

Just another cathedral this one was in session so we couldn't go in but we enjoyed the view from the outside.
My dream of Salzburg was walking into town and there being a festival and everyone eating and dancing. Well it came true May day was upon us thankfully causing the town to shut down and the festivities to be in full force.
Here we are walking across the bridge not even knowing that my dreams were about to be fulfilled.
Salzburg also held amazing country side here I am at the bank of the lake in St. Gilgon. I was ready to jump in the water it was clear and beautiful, Devin was having to hold me back.
The cutest grave yard just outside their church. They know how to do it over there. They make the graves so that you can actually plant flowers, really pretty.
A view from the top of the Alps.
The quaint buildings in St. Gilgon.
Vienna

Because I'm lame these pics are backwards. We started our trip in Vienna but it doesn't really matter.

Jet lag is all I can say. We landed in Vienna Thursday afternoon after leaving Salt Lake Wednesday morning so you can imagine the droopy eyes we had. We were waiting for dinner and Devin just couldn't keep his eyes open.
I love all the fountains they have over there and how me and Devin's hair looks the same.
St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna
All in All LOVED Europe. The cobble stone streets, old buildings, history, and opening your eyes to the world. BUT I missed Teags who did so well while we were gone, Ice, still don't get how they can handle everything luke warm. The jet lag's crazy but worth it to see incredible places.

Austria

45It's a Major Award!!!!!

Well maybe not an awesomely provocative leg lamp but Devin did receive a major reward. In the form a trip anywhere in the world. Daunting right well we narrowed it down and we are going to Austria/Czech Republic.

How did he get this reward you ask. Devin was nominated for employee of the year at Clear Link Technologies and after pleading his case, in which he divulged his dream of owning a chocolate factory. Where else do you research for that but in Austria. So it came down that they love Devin and he is the WINNER! I know he's awesome but It's cool to see those who also think he's awesome especially when they sign the pay check.

Now we are heading to the land where The Hills Are Alive With the Sound of Music and I will be taking that tour even if Devin refuses I will go by myself and be SINGING my heart out the WHOLE time! We will also eat our weight in chocolate, cheese, schnitzel, and any baked goods that's at arms length. While taking in the incredible culture, architecture, art, weird euro cars, lush green mountains that never end, and so so so much more I just can't even wait.

***Minus the whole 10 days without Teagan I know she'll be fine I know it's good to have these experiences , but my heart still isn't ready to imagine being gone for so long. Just writing this I'm literally chocking up. So I will not think about that I will only be thinking about SCHNITZEL and the cutest pair of mother daughter lederhosen that I will be brining back for me and Teags!

I'm Back!

It's not that I don't love my blog and mean to neglect it. I've just been filling my days with other things, not cooler things just stuff. Well here they are...

First off Teagan sweet 20 monther love that she is growing up, but she thinks she is already grown up. Basically this picture says it all she doesn't like to get dressed and the only shoes she likes to wear are her rain boots because she can put them on herself. Really a cute process, and don't you love kids that have shoes on the wrong feet. I do!
Next I grew up in an artistic home my mom is an amazing artist, crafter, all the above, and I was an art major in my two years I was in college. So gratefully now that I'm home all day and have time to explore my artistic desires I'm so happy.

Here are some flowers that I made for my mom's Young Women's center piece I love how they turned out! I'm also dabbling in sewing, in which Teagan has a new skirt that I still need to work out kinks, and I have plans for a new messenger style bag for my self. We will see how that turns out.

I do still try to have some fun with Teags. So why not play in the snow because it will be gone tomorrow.
So we will take a walk. Teagan's baby really needed to get out of the house. Again how grown up is Teagan.
Lastly my winter seasonal depression has caused a mass painting epidemic in our house. I painted the cabinets, the kitchen a lovely butter yellow, dining room green, and the living room a grayish blue! I may live in a crayon box but I love color and have small rooms so if I want to change the color not a big deal!
With small rooms comes even smaller closets so I've tried to get organized in way too many ways to document. BUT this just makes me sick so I show to share my pain.

This is the after picture of our shoe disaster
I love shoes and that's okay when your the only one, but I married a shoe-aholic so in turn this is what happens. With this pile I could only get rid on ONE pair so for now we will just keep shoving them into our small closet.
Oh and mog podge ever tried it? Well you should so easy and fun! I did a frame, vase, and a box to hold ribbon so many options and Teags love to "help".
The End.
