Ode To Hair

Ode to the hair that hung just past my shoulder
I didn't know what to do you just kept getting older.

Your ends were dry,
I Know why.

Color processes and flat iron daily
Made your follicle so sad and wavy.

So what to do you think and say
Well chop it all off hip hip hooray!

Now here it is...
Short with no over processed frizz.

The Joy of hair, one minute it's here
The next minute it's there.

ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!

Teags had a birthday and we shouted hooray! We sang to her that day, she's one years old and wiser too. Happy birthday Teagan we love you!!!
She got some wonderful presents and love every second of the wrapping paper.
Devin picked out Teag's cute birthday outfit. ( just tilt your head so this picture is straight.)
Wrapping paper anyone, I'll share.
The highlight of the night, the CAKE.
She started out a little slow just picking at the nose.
Then it was time to dive in handfuls of cake, frosting, cake, frosting, cake, frosting...... One year old BLISS!
Again tilt head. I'm so proud not only it she covered in cake but look how big is Teagan, So big!   We had such a wonderful night thanks again to our most fantastic family that helped make Teagan's birthday all the more special. We love you all!!!

Vroom Vroom

Did I forget to mention we got Teagan her first car. She already has a cell phone so we figured it was a natural progression. Or it was a Teagan Devin toy outing while I was working.
Either way She is way happy about it!
Until we changed it to were she has to stand and walk behind it, then it's game over.
Come on Teagan you can do it, You're so close. Walking is way more fun than crawling. We can go to the park and you won't just sit and eat grass. When you're with Grandma Char you can chase the dogs around. Lane and Burke are ready to run around the Chipman race way with you. You can help Grady get walking maybe Diem. Elliott's ready for Olympic soccer training so she'll have crazy tips to help you refine your skills.

Teags all it takes is that first step!

Why?

For those of you that know my in laws know that marathons are like candy to them. You can't just do one... a year. So I spend a lot of time at the finish lines cheering on our runners. feeling the excitement of seeing all walks of life crossing that line, some stumbling, some crying, most just holding their heads up high loving that the last .2 of the 26 is over.

Well October 3 will be here in no time and it will be my time to cross that line hopefully with my head  held high. St. George Marathon I've ran you before and you still scare me. This time I know what I'm getting myself into and that's what is sick because I'm still doing it.

Here is my conclusion on this whole marathon stuff. Yes the race is hard but the training come on give my a break. 4-5 days a week running not just casually. Your training, getting your miles up, but not too fast or you injure your self. You have early mornings or late nights, constant thoughts of your training routine. Me personally I'm hungry all the time due to the calorie burn good... I don't know because I don't fight hunger I give in, and eat my weight in chips. There's the Blisters, loss of toe nails, body glide, chalky face, and the lovely runner stench.

So when you think how do people run a marathon really your thoughts should wonder how do people train for a marathon. Yet I'm still excited to cross through that blue and white balloon arch with the wonderful misters. Get my Blue Bunny ice cream and chow chow chow all day because I just burned like 1302948203 calories. It feels so amazing to finish that it makes it all worth it. I do have to say that child birth was easier than my last marathon they don't make epidurals for marathons, little food for thought.
