TV Junkie

I could give you lots of reasons why I've been a mega blog slacker, but it really comes down to the old boob tube.  This time of year seems to really fill up the, heaven sent, DVR. Thanks to the Jazz game right now I have a sec to update. Just to give you an Idea of my busy schedule I listed it below. You truly have to train to keep up with this rigorous TV regimen.

Monday:
Bromance
The City
Daddy's Girls
Don't judge me because I'm addicted to MTV. Bromance way funny don't knock it till you watch it.

Tuesday:
American Idol
Biggest Loser
Scrubs
Due to schedule conflicts we have to catch scrubs at one of our parents house sometimes. Or would it be bad to have two DVRs. One for me and one for Devin...

Wednesday:
American Idol
Real World
Kind of a slow night, but I do work Tuesday and Wednesday so we always have to catch up on other nights.

Thursday:
Kath and Kim
The  Office
30 Rock
Best night of the week!

Friday:
Catch up from the week's missed shows. Did I mention how much I love our DVR, Red Box, or a great classic on the movie channels. Last week Don't Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead was on. Devin amazed me by quoting along with it.

Saturday:
SNL

Sunday:
Brothers and Sisters
Tool Academy
Yes Tool Academy I almost don't want to admit to this, Devin got me hooked.

Can't forget about my daily dose of Gilmore Girls. I don't know what it is about the show I've seen all the episodes, but I just can't seem to get enough!

Don't worry I don't neglect Teagan, I still clean my house, and keep my spirit happy with healthy doses of the good word. I just like to watch TV.

Bathing Teags

Teagan loves her bath time, and I couldn't help capturing it! This is her drinking the water, she at least wait till the bubbles dissolve from the soap. She always ends up with hiccups afterwards.
This is probably the only time I see her hair laying down. My little model already posing for the camera when ever it's around.
I love her little hairs swaying in the water.

2008

Our last big trip before baby Teags was born. The cruise Devin won for being sales man of the year.  Beautiful Cabo San Lucas! This is also where we found out that we were buying a house. As we were in line to get through security we found out our offer was accepted. We had to find a fax machine in the airport to sign papers to get the deal going.
June 20 6:54 pm our sweet Teagan was born

Newport trip with the Chipmans, 5 weeks old and loving the beach

Girl crush... Is that bad

With the good bye of Amy Poehler on SNL, I was really heart sick. I didn't know if I could continue watching. Of course there would be funny skits, but would they be as memorable as "Really" with Amy and Seth on Weekend Update. Would there be the infectious laughter of Lil' Amy that makes the jokes even better, the uncanny Hillary Clinton impression that even makes Hillary think she is a not ready for time prime player on SNL, the ghetto fabulous Bronx Beat that makes me want to move to the Boroughs to practice my own New Yorker accent.

Amy Poehler will be missed by many including myself, but man do I Heart Kristen Wiig. This love affair started when she did the sisters skit spoofing The Lawrence Welk show. I think I watched it 194 times, cried because I was laughing so hard 54 times, and peed my pants twice. I still chuckle thinking about it. From that one skit I started crushing hard on Kristen. I love her in her sweaters, wigs, and cat voice. Kristen Wiig I am your biggest fan.

Here is just one of her wonderful skits. I want to hang out with Kristen.

Static?

With winter comes static hair, and as a hair care professional I feel like it's my duty to give a few tips to hopefully get us through this.

1. scrub your hair with baking soda. Yes baking soda. Put some in a bowl and take it in the shower with you mix it with your shampoo, scrub and rinse. You might want to shampoo again. The baking soda helps to remove build up, that makes it hard to let the conditioner in. IF you have just colored your hair I would suggest waiting a week to do this.

2. Try using a leave in conditioner. Sexy hair's whey leave in conditioner is light so it won't way your hair down. It also smells very good! (which is always a factor with product) Also deep conditioning is a good idea.

3. Try to not play with your hair to much during the day. The more you touch it just seems to make it static. I'm not a scientist I just do hair.

4. Dryer sheets they make your clothes static free try running one  through your hair.

5. Abba makes great shampoos and conditioners. Their moisture conditioner is especially great  I think, again my opinion, that it helps control the hair. Also pureology's hydrate shampoo and conditioner, but abba is a little more affordable.

6. Less is more, don't over do the product, this is true any time of the year. use a light texture paste if you want, but definitely finish with a little hair spray. Either spray directly on the hair, or on to your comb/brush and then brush your hair. But this would have to be done few time through out the day.

I hope this helps if there are any questions feel free to ask maybe I will know!
