Well October 3 will be here in no time and it will be my time to cross that line hopefully with my head held high. St. George Marathon I've ran you before and you still scare me. This time I know what I'm getting myself into and that's what is sick because I'm still doing it.
Here is my conclusion on this whole marathon stuff. Yes the race is hard but the training come on give my a break. 4-5 days a week running not just casually. Your training, getting your miles up, but not too fast or you injure your self. You have early mornings or late nights, constant thoughts of your training routine. Me personally I'm hungry all the time due to the calorie burn good... I don't know because I don't fight hunger I give in, and eat my weight in chips. There's the Blisters, loss of toe nails, body glide, chalky face, and the lovely runner stench.
So when you think how do people run a marathon really your thoughts should wonder how do people train for a marathon. Yet I'm still excited to cross through that blue and white balloon arch with the wonderful misters. Get my Blue Bunny ice cream and chow chow chow all day because I just burned like 1302948203 calories. It feels so amazing to finish that it makes it all worth it. I do have to say that child birth was easier than my last marathon they don't make epidurals for marathons, little food for thought.

I love you for doing this. I will never run a marathon and I admire you so much for doing it. Good luck with the training. I would love to see you cross that finish line. Maybe we will have to come down for it.
Wow, so proud of you. Really!! I have started running and I am freaking beat by 2 miles. then I quit and walk the rest of the way, go home and lay on the couch. I hate to sweat and get overly hot. But I know you can do it, I just can't so therefor you are mile better than me and I too admire you! Seriously good luck, let me know how much weight you loose too, I want to see if running is actually worth it for me.
wahoo! You're runnin again! It will be my annual, 'see the Chipmans for a min' day!
aaahhhhh. Way to go Em. That is awesome. I didn't know you had decided to run it this year. I am way proud of you. It's been so long since I've run one that I feel that sense of amazement that anyone can run that far. so good job.
I have the goal of running a marathon (i have had this goal for about 5 years). the sad thing is my mom runs the st. george marathon every year, plus lots of other marathons around the U.S.....so you would think that it would somehow magically appear in my genes, this talent for running and being in shape, but it skipped me.
You crack me up- I love how you tell it the way it is. By the way Sara's hair looked incredible yesterday- your talents in the hair department are endless! (By the way, LOVE mine:)
