Amish or iphone

I recently purchased an iphone, cool right? Well yes, then why did I have to be talked into buying it and still not really embracing the crap out of it.

Well probably because I'm fascinated with the Amish. They live such a sweet life centered around family and simplicity no power, make their own clothes, milk cows, grow pumpkins for pumpkin cookies not jack-o-lanterns, grow beards, cool buns, get to have all sorts of animals. (Devin please could we get a dog)

So here I am caught in the middle of my fast paced world full of technology and my inner thoughts of a simple life free of distractions. Maybe that's why I haven't been blogging much and needed so much cohersing to get an iphone.

So what to do... garden or blog,  sew or facebook, bake or watch T.V. Well I will just do them all and hope that I can still have a simple family centered life with the perks of technology. Moderation in all things right?!

I am happy to see you are embracing the iphone. I'm sure there is a perfect balance you can surely achieve in managing both technology and the simple life.

I am hoping that we will be rocking the iphones come July when our Verizon contract is up. Then my jealousy can finally end. Scott is pretty much on board now too. If just one of us has a job we are going for it.

It works great when the kids get older and you can have family time AND technology because everyone sits in the living rooms with their own laptops. LOL

ps Happy birthday. I love you!

iphones are lame. just kidding. i only say that because i am jealous.
also, you will be proud to hear that once (whilst i was in ohio area), i found myself in a situation where i had to defend an amish man who refused to defend himself. he thanked me. he was kindof hot. wierd, i know.

While I don't know much about the iphone I can understand the desire to lead a more simple life, but technology sure makes a lot of things a lot easier. I lost my phone this last week and felt so disconnected from the world. In a way it was nice yet also inconvenient. So good luck balancing! . . . Are you really sewing something?
