Static?

With winter comes static hair, and as a hair care professional I feel like it's my duty to give a few tips to hopefully get us through this.

1. scrub your hair with baking soda. Yes baking soda. Put some in a bowl and take it in the shower with you mix it with your shampoo, scrub and rinse. You might want to shampoo again. The baking soda helps to remove build up, that makes it hard to let the conditioner in. IF you have just colored your hair I would suggest waiting a week to do this.

2. Try using a leave in conditioner. Sexy hair's whey leave in conditioner is light so it won't way your hair down. It also smells very good! (which is always a factor with product) Also deep conditioning is a good idea.

3. Try to not play with your hair to much during the day. The more you touch it just seems to make it static. I'm not a scientist I just do hair.

4. Dryer sheets they make your clothes static free try running one  through your hair.

5. Abba makes great shampoos and conditioners. Their moisture conditioner is especially great  I think, again my opinion, that it helps control the hair. Also pureology's hydrate shampoo and conditioner, but abba is a little more affordable.

6. Less is more, don't over do the product, this is true any time of the year. use a light texture paste if you want, but definitely finish with a little hair spray. Either spray directly on the hair, or on to your comb/brush and then brush your hair. But this would have to be done few time through out the day.

I hope this helps if there are any questions feel free to ask maybe I will know!
